Description: | European commission have allowed 3G and 4G internet to be used by the passengers during their flight. European Commission have allowed 3G and 4G during all parts of the flight but some devices like Notebooks still have to be stored while landing and plane take off and the obvious reason for this is that they can fall causing injuries to passengers on board. This means that airlines can now offer high speed internet above 3000 meters which is the usual altitude at which the air planes fly. In order for airlines to offer these services they have to be connected by earth via a satellite connection to transmit and receive signals. This permission have come on a time when there is an ever increasing demand from customers because people want connectivity while on flight so that they can communicate and even send and receive emails. Also internet in flight means Skype and other voice communications which will enable people even to video chat on Board. |
